Ecstasy Rehab

The goal of all ecstasy rehab programs is to educate the drug user to the facts about chemical dependency and the changes needed to live a drug free lifestyle. A variety of therapy can be included in a given ecstasy rehab setting depending on the clinical intensity of the center. Most centers provide counseling, behavioral therapy, lectures, group therapy, discussion groups and other types of services to persons with drug use disorders.

Many various behavioral rehab programs have been shown to help ecstasy rehab patients achieve and maintain prolonged abstinence. One frequently used drug rehab programs is cognitive behavioral and relapse prevention. Patients are taught new ways of acting and thinking that will help them stay off ecstasy. For example, patients in ecstasy rehab are urged to avoid situations that lead to drug abuse and to practice drug refusal skills. They are taught to think of a relapse as a slip rather than as a failure. Cognitive behavioral and relapse prevention has proven to be a useful and lasting therapy in ecstasy rehab.

Ecstasy rehab programs have grown dramatically in the past 5 years. Ecstasy abuse is treated in specialized rehab centers and drug rehab programs. In the United States, there are more than 11,000 centers. Drug addiction has a great economic impact, costing an estimated $67 billion per year. Programs can dramatically reduce the problem. There is a wide range of financial variables, levels of care and philosophical differences among the various drug rehab programs and centers.

Ecstasy abuse is a predicament which involves many individuals: the addict themselves, their families, friends and/or work colleagues. There is a wide range of helpful solutions available for those who are ready to end their ecstasy abuse. Individuals looking for assistance may find attending a treatment program beneficial. Often times there are support groups available for the family and friends of the individual who is receiving drug abuse help.

Abuse of ecstasy is a problem which affects people of all income levels, ages, and stations in life. Quite often the last person to see that there is a problem is the addict. Families try to help their loved ones to no avail. Companies have a difficult choice when faced with a once valuable employee or executive who has, due to some turn in life, developed a drug abuse problem - to help them or to fire them. When this is the case it is important to talk to the individual about their drug use and see if they are ready to quit using ecstasy. For those who are not, the family, friends, or colleagues can perform what is known as an intervention. This may help the addict to see how much their drug use has hurt their friends and family.

You may be concerned about your child, your spouse, your partner, your parent(s), your brother or sister, a friend, a work colleague, or even yourself. If you are looking for ecstasy rehab for someone you care about here are some key points to keep in mind:

  • Only very powerful motivation can help an addict decide to end their abuse. This motivation comes about when: the consequences of using become even more painful than not using.
  • Keep in mind, for help to work the individual truly has to want to get clean. Without this desire from them, even the most qualified and highly trained ecstasy rehab will not work. Only the individual who has a problem with ecstasy abuse can truly make a change within themselves.
  • The very thought of not using may make some individuals frightened or scared. They may have abused one drug or another for such a long period of time that it feels to them being intoxicated is natural. Or, they may fear withdrawal which sometimes can be quite painful.
  • You can offer your help and support. You can show that you care about them.
  • You cannot control the individual's actions. Only they can control their actions. They ultimately have to make the decision to get help for their ecstasy abuse problems.

Every year, more and more people become addicts in their pursuit to get "high". Many die trying, but it doesn't have to be this way. With such a large number of people with ecstasy abuse problems, the government, as well as private entities has developed a large network of drug abuse rehabs. Drug abuse treatment is available for those who want to end their self destructive behavior.
